Disinformation is untrue information that was deliberately created to cause harm. They know that what they are saying is untrue, and they still share the false information. An example of this was Donald Trump saying that the election was stolen in 2020. He knew that the election was fair, but he still lied about the results, and since his comments went viral, this story caused a ton of damage and anger.
